Traffic Stop Leads To Narcotics Arrest Delaware
A car stop Friday night in Smryna lead to the arrests of two men on drug charges, police said today.
Homer D. Cooper IV, 20, of Washington Place in Dover, and 21-year-old Bremonte R. Palmer, of Cherry Drive in Magnolia, were each charged with possession of cocaine, marijuana possession and possession of drug paraphernalia, Lt. Norman Wood said.
Copper was also charged with possession of a prescription drug without a prescription and two traffic offenses, Wood said.
Officers stopped the car about 9:30 p.m. Friday on South Du Pont Highway and Cory Lane for an equipment violation and noticed the odor of marijuana coming from the car.
A search of the car uncovered marijuana, crack cocaine and prescription pills without any valid prescription, Wood said.
Both men were released pending court hearings.
